Weekly Photo Wednesday: Cemeteries

Eek! Late start today!

I got up a little late for school and didn't have time to post this before I had to rush out to make time for my coffee stop at what is hopefully my future place of employment. Hehe. Anyway, you know, priorities.

For this week, since we are getting closer to Halloween, I wanted to feature cemeteries, more specifically, this little random one I found a couple weeks ago while out driving in my area.

I know to some cemeteries are associated with morbidity, but -- call me crazy -- I actually think they are really peaceful and quite frankly, beautiful. I love me a good tangible piece of history. I think it's cool to be able to reach out and touch something that has been around a great deal longer than you. It's interesting to me to imagine people actually gathering in that very spot in the 16, 17, and 1800s.

Okay okay. Get on with it, I know.

Anyway, this cemetery, I learned, is called Cooley Cemetery, and it is actually one of 3 or 4 random little graveyards in this town. It's amazing the little pieces of history you can find if you decide to go for a ride one day.

Weekly Photo Wednesday [2]

Hey everyone! It's Wednesday, and that means.. picture time!

For this week I just went around after school one day and took pictures of some of the areas in my town... Fall is truly the only time I  l o v e  living here. Yeah, Connecticut pretty much fails to "wow" me 9-10 months out of the year. Well, unless you count our constantly skyrocketing gas prices.

Weekly Photo Wednesday [1]

Happy Wednesday everyone! And welcome to my very first installment of my little "Weekly Photo Wednesday" (name is definitely subject to change, ick!) thang.

First up, I apologize in advance if the link thing isn't working. This is my first time wrangling one of these babies. And, knowing me, I probably did it wrong. So, we'll see.

Anywho, this week's topic was...

All Things Pumpkin!

I was originally planning on taking pictures of real pumpkins, but unfortunately today while I was out looking for the perfect Halloween scene (which I think I may have found!), it was raining. All day.

So we will have to settle for the little cuties I purchased at Walmart today, and have displayed proudly throughout my house like some sort of pumpkin lady.

Can't wait to see everyone else's, if you guys join in! :)
