Early in the weekend, a cousin of Anthony's was visiting, and she and Anthony's sister wanted to go mini golfing. So the rest of us followed suit.
Feeling cheap, Anthony and I opted out of golfing while he kept score and I took pictures.
I thought I'd post those today, since I don't have a topic in mind, and I'm actually working on posting daily, I'll take what I can get, hehe.
A nice simple day at the mini golf course. Followed by PeachWave? Sounds perfect to me!
Happy Monday!

In other news, I'm trying to post daily from now on, at least until I get back into the groove of blogging. I hope this is just a phase. I really do. But I'm starting to worry this "phase" has been going on for too long. I'm hoping it's just because I'm busy or enjoying summer. Yeah, let's go with that one. It makes me feel less guilty, haha. So anyway, I thought I would do a nice little filler, "what I'm loving" post. First because I want to, and second, because it's an easy exercise that will flex my blogging muscles a little bit, right? Right. It sucks to be out of shape. (In more areas than just blogging. But that's another post for another day.) Anyway...
I'm loving... taking pictures. I've always been obsessed with photography. In fact, I have been determined to make it at the very least a side career for a while now. But lately, since going to the beach and having more opportunities to get some good shots of real people, and not just random objects, or my dog, or nature (pretty, but let's be honest... boring compared to shots of life being lived), it has really fed into my addiction like a healthy hit of crack. Or something. Am I even phrasing that correctly? Better be careful, my in-depth knowledge of the drug world is showing.
I'm loving... Pretty Little Liars. Well, ok, this technically doesn't count, since I have "loved" it since the day it aired. However, I was bored and meandering around Target the other night, and stumbled upon the second season temporarily marked down from $45 to $15. Um, steal anyone?? Sure, they still tricked me out of $15 when I could have otherwise spent $0 for the first time ever in Target history, but hey, it was worth it. So now I'm re-loving PLL. Maybe someday I'll catch up on my DVR and bring myself up to speed with the current season. Whoooops. Apparently it's the "fall behind" stage of my life (blogging isn't the sole victim!). On the bright side, at least I'm getting it out of the way early, and not when I have kids and am wondering why they look so hungry or their clothes don't fit anymore... or something.
I'm loving... Bic Soleil razors. I was randomly sent a free one, and when I ran out of my cheap disposable ones, I decided to give it a whirl in lieu of dragging to the store for new ones. Boy oh boy am I thankful for that -- this razor is the bomb dot com. A nice close shave, and I haven't cut myself once. People don't know this, but I suck at shaving my legs. I'm always in a rush, it's a huge chore, and so "OMG hurry up I want to be done showering" is the name of the game. So, my legs take a bit of a beating. Oops. But, not anymore, not since giving this razor a try! I don't know how much they are in stores, but they come with a couple blades, so they last a good while. Worth a try, for sure. And I mean, who wouldn't want to try the razor made by the pen company we trust so much? (Me, that's who. A big "wtf" ensued when I saw them for the first time... not anymore!)

better late than never?
Fourth of July around these parts was pretty great. Maybe that's why it took me over a week and a half to post the recap? Or um... at all?
The day was full of swimming and eating, and the evening was a nice, warm walk on the beach with the most gorgeous sunset.
I also had a few opportunities to flex my photography muscle. I've been overly obsessed with taking pictures lately. Like, more so than normal. So having a couple impromptu "photo shoots" was quite the little treat.
I hope everyone had a great fourth of July!

So long! Farewell!
.... if you don't follow me on bloglovin', that is.
I'm sure many of you have heard by now, GFC is hanging up it's "follow" button for good, and saying adios to all of us who have for so long used it to connect & keep up with each other.
But, it's not goodbye forever! ..... as long as you follow my blog on bloglovin'!
I'm pretty sure I just imported all the blogs I follow here via GFC. Or so I think. I hit a link that mentioned importing blogs, and so I guess we'll find out, haha.
How this will change blogger, I don't know. Does this mess up the blogger dashboard and all that jazz? Oh whatever. I am awful at updating regularly anyway, no matter how much I want to. So, can I be honest and say it doesn't feel like the death of GFC will really affect me at all?
... but, just in case I can find the time to work, have a life, and blog all at the same time? Follow my blog on bloglovin' and I'll follow yours so we can keep up!
*** For those who followed before I changed my URL, you may have to follow again... I think if the link is changed, the subscription may be, because my follower number changed. I think technically they are considered two different blogs, despite being the same blog with a new URL... ***

high five friday!

Today is fantastic for two reasons. First, and most obviously, it's Friday. Amen. Granted, I only have Saturday off, but it's still nice to experience 1/2 of the normal Friday bliss. And anyway, I have Monday--Wednesday off to galavant around the beach so, I can't complain too much!
The second reason today is fantastic, is of course, it is the first day of summer! Ahh! Finally! While it has felt like summer for the past couple of weeks, it's nice to be able to now call it summer and not know that you're still in the middle of spring pretending it's the best season of the year.
Anywho, onto high five Friday, shall we?
1. I had my first 6-month review at work today. I just came from it in fact. Along with the review comes a raise, and the opportunity to hear what the boss thinks of your work and progress. It went well, and gave me an opportunity to sort of voice some of the things I wanted to get off my chest about my experiences in the last six months. It was nice to hear she agreed with a lot of what I said, and I left feeling better about our employee-employer relationship. Up until now it has been kind of a love-hate thing, but it's good to see that she notices more than she lets on. Maybe I misjudged her.
2. This week I finally finished up my social media icons. They had been MIA from my blog for a while because I was trying to make new ones, and had run out of time to do so. They are a little larger than I originally envisioned, but they will do until I can find time to cut them down to size. Are we friends on Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, or Facebook? Do you follow my blog on bloglovin'? No? Well now you can and we can be! Take my new buttons for a spin! Mostly because I love tweeting with ya'll and Instagram is like crack for me... hehe.
3. I purchased and downloaded a new tutorial based program to help me get better aquainted with my camera and photography without having to pay a bunch of money to take a class. Maybe not anytime soon, but I hope this at least brings me closer to the photography business!
4. My car went in and was repaired after a recall notice regarding my air bag.. Yes! Finally I can drive without fear of my airbag going off in my face and breaking it or my arm or worse. But, let's be honest, I had this fear for a total of about seven days, after I finally received the recall notice. For all I knew, this could have happened anytime in the last four years of owning the car. ;p
5. I have found a new TV addiction. Don't judge me, but embarrassingly enough, I have become quite into a new show called Pretty Wicked Moms. Another form of a "real housewives" show? Reality garbage? Wasted money and time given to a bunch of catty women flaunting their money and mean streaks? Yes, it is all of those things. But for some reason, it sucked me in like the typical American reality trash whore young adult. I wish I could say it didn't. For some reason, I enjoy a lot of these shows chock full of people I love to hate. What's wrong with me? Lol
What about you guys? Any fun plans for the first real weekend of summer? What were the high points of your week? Head on over to Lauren's blog to link up!
